The Art of Finding Lost Arts
For some reason, the more I spend time on a screen (which is sadly much, given my current line of work), the more I've come to appreciate the "physical" world and especially, handmade stuff made by artisans. Nature, skill and love. I'm back from a ren faire and i got two items: a comb made...

Artists, how do you feel about being open about your inspirations?
Nobody creates things in a void, but it seems like some sort of unspoken taboo where artists do not talk about what they inspire them in detail (sometimes you'll get a vague "oh I got inspired by X") maybe in fear that people will think they just copied what "inspires" them. Howe...

Re: What are your favorite video games?
However! Can anyone recommend me something in the vein of like. LSD dream emulator or yume nikki? I want to explore weird strange open alien places and if possible i want to be scared while doing so. Bonus for things that emphasize vibes over realism. OH YES if you're looking for exploration and we...

Re: how "online" do you think we should be?
I think every tool & process should still have an analogue counterpart, in case there are people who cannot afford or struggles with technologies (like most of the elder population around here). They are removing analogue methods for procedures (getting documentation, for example) and it's givin...

Re: What are your favorite video games?

Re: what is your LEASt favourite food
I hate cold cuts (and any "cold" "meat" in general) as well as vinegar. And many stews, sauces and messy-looking foods unless I cooked them myself.

Happens to me, too! What worked for me was checking out w3school's tutorials again. I think it's a good refresher of knowledge, and maybe you'll find some new tricks that will inspire you to create something new!

Re: First game you remember playing
I don't remember the first game I played, but I do remember the first game I witnessed: Virtua Cop 2 for Windows. My father used to play it and I always asked him to see "the big guy who throws a truck at you" (I found that part hilarious as a toddler) I salute all the Toontown players her...

Re: what is some 'weird' art advice you have to give?
For those who are studying "officially" at some school, academy or similar, don't be afraid to research on your own and learn outside of what they're teaching you there. There's a whole world of art out there and most educational institutions will try to teach you what's popular or sells t...

Re: What's your favorite old+out of use website?
I used to love browsing this website dedicated to sharing birthday party ideas because I had a brief interest on themed parties. I really enjoyed the dedication people put to make parties entirely thematic and fun, with lots of DIY project here and there. I thought it was lost because lately, Googli...

Re: How did you get into web design?
To be fair, while I saw stuff like the Neopages, I haven't really been into web design until recently, with Neocities and the Yesterweb movement. I've always been bad at coding, programming, math, anything that has a rigid logic to it. But I started learning HTML and I personally find it very easy t...

Re: VR Chat and other 3D worlds
I've just recently learnt that you don't need to own a VR headset to play VR chat at the cost of body language for your avatar, which is a bit of a shame but not a big loss for someone who doesn't own a headset. I find them a bit too heavy and clunky for my own tastes. I'd like to give VR Cha...
