Re: DIY: Browser based services

tldr i just use them for anything i don't happen to already have a software to do. off of the top of my head, I would usually use online services for pdf editing (merging and marking them up). I also use them for simple word processing things like lipsum generation (https://lipsum.com) and idk, codi...

windows 11 sucks! [...] it's just not good! [...] how can i make this god-forsaken operating system suck less? Personally I love W11 for a lot of reasons but that's not what this thread is for (so I save my list of "Cool Things Windows Now Does" for another time), tell us a bit more about...

I love needlework! Partly because that name just sounds cool (bladework, metalwork, etc etc just sound badass. And I've always been partial to video game characters with unorthodox stabby objects), but also because I love creating things. I love mending, love the idea of caring for something so much...

Re: thoughts on video game piracy?

Yeah!! It's really frustrating to see how some videogame companies are taking advantage of the DLC/free updates features to actually ship out incomplete games at full retail price, and then fixing them up/adding content as they go. Nintendo has been very bad about this lately, so much that in the f...

Hm, I'm not sure if I'm seeing the same issue. I just tried it on my end, and it worked fine for me in Firefox and Chrome. It doesn't keep work on the other pages, as the script needs to be on every page that uses the theme, but on the page you linked to, I don't see what's wrong. Firefox mustve be...

Unfortunately, my only solution has been to use less electronics. (Or fortunately, depending on how I'm feeling that day.) Interestingly, the last two times I got a new pc monitor, they gave me headaches/nausea(?) that faded as I. just. Ignored it and kept using it for some length of time? But appar...

Yeah, that doesn’t seem to fit with the rest of the site at all. I take it this is all AI generated? yeah, i'm fairly sure that entire blog is ai generated. On a side note, watching the video, this seems to be something generated by a bot. Just using a search function to find generic hosts, and then throw together a video containing text and images it fetched. I didn't even know that was a thing that you could do... haha my instagram explore feed broug...

you can mute channels and castegories and there's a separate checkbox somewhere that hides muted channels. Adding my lil bit: I would rather type out "lol" or "mhm" or something in a instant messaging chat because chat messages there seem more ephemeral, seem like they don't matter as much. Throwing a lower effort "mhm" in there while a chat's participants are typing up a st...

Re: Yesterweb Youth Groups™?

I think I've talked about this before but the big issue with getting kids to ditch social media is they all have to in order for some of them to, if that makes sense. If little billy wants to ditch social media he's going to be an outcast unless his friends do, too. If little billy decides to never...
