What did you find last time you cleaned your room?

just what the title says! i thought it'd be cool to show off what you found (image or not) while doing some maintenance.

today, i found:

- old digimon tcg cards (did you know they had that? they did!)
- pokemon marbles (did you know they had that? they did!)
- old piplup toy (electonic, had wheels on the bottom so it could 'run around')
- h*rry p*tter collectible cards... >_>
- an old hamtaro plushie!
- my tv's old configuration papers... (not going to be an issue soon since i am removing it + the dresser it sits on lol)
- an old cassette tape of stevie nicks music (rock something or other, i think my dad has the actual *case* for it)

mostly empty water bottles and pencils and im reminded of how much i drink water in my room (mostly 2 or 3).

I found a lot of old music cassette. I think I briefly used to listen to them during my childhood using some kind of audio recording device.

i love going through all the old stuff i still have at my parents' house because i always uncover some fun memories. last time, i found:

• my old flip camera (remember those?) that was full of videos of model rocket launches i attended. i haven't done anything with model rocketry in years, but i used to be super interested in it!
• my first smartphone, a droid 2! sadly, the touchscreen no longer seems to be working.
• a bunch of old software and shareware compilation CDs i used on my windows ME computer, like kid pix 4 and rollercoaster tycoon.

i'm moving in a week or so, which means i'm currently disassembling my entire situation... everything goes in different boxes, furniture is disappearing, old things are dug up. and so, i found my old PSP i tried to make music with, using little GP tracker... and there were finished songs on there! things i made back in 2016. such a nice pause to sit on the floor and listen to old stuff.

wasn't exactly recent, but last time I found a copy of ‘241 Computer Terms You Need To Know’ (2002), which I uploaded to the Internet Archive shortly thereafter.
My room is by no means clean now, so expect more exciting updates from me in the far future (keep expectations low)

Careful! I could keep this thread going for years with all the stuff I could possibly find in my house!

I think the most recent amusing find was a mixtape of Ani DiFranco music that was sent to me in 1998 when I was a teenager. It was from a girl from the Philippines who's website I followed back then.

Funny enough, days after I found it.... She found ME. 25 years later. On Mastodon.
