All You Gotta do is go back when Twitter pulled the same stuff all because Elon Musk and the investors surrounding him wanted that to happen. Its all about what the VC's in the Financial District of San Francisco that have investments in "Big Tech" want Meta Inc to get a huge payout one way or another.

This might not be a reaction to twitter blue, but feels like it... Recurring pattern, like trying to predict the bitcoin price, i'm like "whoa this is objectively very bad, surely a sign of the end LOL" and then three other actors implement the same thing and the price skyrockets and i'm standing there like huh.... what happing.....

Current business model where platforms are going. Yes Elon Musk was one of the first to hype it up.
