mozilla hubs now needs a subscription?

Post by w3lchia »

so recently i've went back into mozilla hubs to make a new room. the landing page was different, there's now a dashboard button and see pricing button. i thought that maybe the pricing part was for extra features, so i tried going to the dashboard and signing in, but it brings me to a subscription page.

since when did mozilla started implementing this? last time i was there i could freely create a room whenever i want. any attempt of trying to create a room for free with all the other buttons just brings me to the landing page, and i'm just so confused.

In Mozilla’s defence, hosting things like 3D rooms isn’t free, and I imagine costs a lot of money in the long run. I’m happy they’ve decided to make it paid instead of resorting to data collection.
