What interests me about the yesterweb: the sense of a space created by and for the people that inhabit it, for their own sake! The amount of self-expression that's possible, and even expected! The honesty and integrity expressed here can't really be found elsewhere on the net. It feels like a rebellion of sorts, it's fresh. Maybe i'm romanticizing it now but yeah. Yeah!!!!

I'm eblu, a nearly-21-year-old and creator of a million projects in various stages of incompletion. I take a little too much inspiration from the mid-late 2000s for my own good, but it's cool. I'm currently working on a game intended for the web, but I've put it on the backburner for now.

the yesterweb is really interesting! I (re)discovered personal sites through a now friend of mine, and I've had a neocities page since late 2020 (don't bother looking at it, I haven't updated it since then and I regret a lot of things that I put on there). seeing people forging their own spots on the web again is relieving on an increasingly corporate internet.

What's your favorite thing to do online? Not gonna lie, if I feel like there’s nothing to do, I’ll just unconsciously grab the phone and start scrolling mindlessly. So it feels like while I’m online a lot, it’s hard to recall what exactly I like about it. I like reading (+contributing to, if possible) wiki pages, conversations and threads on topics I’m interested in and checking to see if my favorite fics on AO3 has updated and comment (it’s a bonus if the author replied!), I guess.

How do you feel about the Yesterweb forum? I really hope it grows! It’d definitely be nice to be able to take conversations more slowly and have the context actually available for everyone. Also it’s baby’s first forum :D
