The one that instantly strikes me is the cover for peter talisman / lord of the harvest. I like covers that look like tomes, like there is an epic tale within... plus the glitchy aesthetic, and ai generation artifacts on the portrait... lends an air of mystery to it. Who is this weird character.... it's almost occult.

I feel that it meshes well with the music...? It's this somber guitar juxtaposed with semi-esoteric synth weirdness. (Project is actually by slugabed and samuel organ, which is interesting. They complement each other.)



If anyone has listened to this, please recommend me similar stuff? Celtic cross / hicksville comes close but i need more!

i do enjoy the cover for light up gold in the first post. it has this "sketch"iness to it, like a living document.

i quite like the cover of no balance palace by kashmir (indie rock). the composition, the concept, the contrasting colors. it's just right.


meat puppets ii (psychedelic/cowpunk) also has a really pretty album cover, painted by one of the band members. this album i've liked since i was a kid, so it holds a nostalgic value for me as well. i generally like meat puppets' album cover art, it's very colorful and trippy.
