do emoji in posts behave strangely for anyone else?

Post by trashguts »

whenever someone adds an emoji to their posts, instead of being inline with the rest of the text, it ends up huge! i use firefox on a windows 11 laptop & the subsilver2 board style, i haven't tested it on any other browsers :')

attaching an example to show what i mean. it happens every time there's an emoji in a post, so i'm sure it isn't just an issue with this particular one:

Are you using custom CSS for the forum??

I think this is an issue with the SVG using its raw size, or not having a set width/height limit. Remove the stylesheets off of some websites that use SVGs and you get a similar effect.

no custom CSS, just the subsilver2 board style from board preferences! maybe it's an issue with the theme, then? i have a harder time reading "dark mode" themes, so i switched it to this one as soon as i made an account :')

edit: quickly tested and yeah, this only happens on the subsilver2 board style, the other two (prosilver & lucid lime) are fine
