It's come up a few times where I wish I could @ a user on here. I did a quick google search and there are many phpbb extensions for this. There may be better extensions for it out there but here is one for example.

Thanks for sharing! Yes Sadness and I just talked about this. We will slowly be adding in extensions.

Our main priority is making sure PhpBB is the latest version- many of these extensions may break between updates so we are going to be methodical about this. We may clone a copy to test before pushing it live.

Keep these ideas coming and just know we are looking into the best way to add these features without compromising security.

Sounds good! I totally understand wanting to proceed carefully with extensions and such, especially with small non-essential stuff like this

Hey, I wanted to follow up and say that I tried out the extension you linked, and I got an error - I don't think it's compatible with the newer versions of PHPBB. I'm still on the lookout for other modern alternatives, so feel free to mention them here if you find any.
