hi i'm on firefox and tried to log in to the mastodon instance but i got a certificate error. Wondering if this is intentional or not haha.
In general though I am worried about the longevity of the instance. When this forum is shut down i don't know where I would post about the issue. I know that its been said that its not shutting down but it's hard to have trust in the instance when other projects bearing the yesterweb name have come and gone in a matter of months.
I love the yesterweb and what it stands for and it's hard to see it all start to slowly crumble

Re: certificate issue when connecting to mastadon instance
Sorry about that, that's entirely my fault. I set up automated renewals and I guess something broke. It should work now. Not intentional at all!
At this moment, the instance plans to run for as long as possible and to provide a minimum of 3 months shutdown notice.
As to contact information, that's something that is still being worked out, and can be posted in this thread when worked out. Whatever it is, it will be posted to yesterweb.org somehow.

I also hope i didn't come across as taking the efforts needed to host for granted. I really appreciate and understand it's a mostly thankless position. I acknowledge I am not owed anything. Just thought i would point it out and share my experiences with the rest of the community : )
